CHICKEN PIZZA

Elevate your pizza night with this must-try recipe: easy homemade pizza dough, cheese and crispy chicken strips.

INGREDIENTS
Pizza Dough (yields enough for 3 9-inch pizzas)
¾ cup warm water
2 tablespoons olive oil
¾ teaspoon salt
2 ¼ teaspoon yeast
1 ½ teaspoons sugar
2-2 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour OR bread flour
To prepare the pizza
Homemade or store-bought pizza sauce
Chicken topping*** check notes
Olive oil
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoon fresh oregano
2 tablespoon chilli flakes
Salt and pepper

INSTRUCTIONS
In a mixing bowl, take warm water and sprinkle in the yeast. Stir to combine and allow to rise.
Next add olive oil, salt, and flour. Using the dough hook attachment of a stand mixer or a hand mixer, mix on low speed until combined.
Now transfer the dough into a bowl with a teaspoon of olive oil and let it rest. Cover the bowl with a damp towel or plastic wrap in a warm place and let it rest for at least 30-60 minutes. The dough will double in size.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
After rising, punch down pizza dough and divide into three equal portions. Pat/roll and stretch dough on pizza peel to fit the pan, while creating a rim along edge of dough. Using a fork, pierce dough many times over surface.
Brush olive oil evenly over top and edges of pizza (optional) and then evenly spread about 2/3 cup of the pizza sauce over pizza (leaving rim uncoated).
Sprinkle top with oregano and top evenly with cheeses (again leaving rim uncoated) and chicken slices. Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes until crust is golden.

Remove from oven, sprinkle top with oregano and pepper flakes, optional. Cut into slices and serve.

***Notes: To prepare the chicken for topping -
Ingredients: 250g boneless chicken (small chunks), 1 tbsp yogurt, 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, ½ tsp garam masala, ½ tsp red chilli powder, ¼ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp butter.
Instructions: Mix chicken with all ingredients and marinate for 15-30 minutes (optional). Heat butter in a pan and cook the chicken for 7-8 minutes until 80-90% cooked. Let it cool and add to pizza.
